Dear future adopters,

I would like to thank once more all the people who visit the “photo gallery” of the galgos for adoption, with the intention to give a dog a better life, and for their trust in GINB.

Although I believe strongly in love at first sight and "coup de foudre" there are always people who are not touched by any of these two phenomena and they ask our help in choosing a dog.

For these adopters the color or the gender is not important, their only aim is to save a Spanish greyhound from the misery by giving him a better life.

To those people I address the following message and prayer.

When for you the color and gender of the dog is not important at all I would like to draw your attention to the sad destiny of the black galgos.

They just like the beige, the white, the multicoloured and brindle galgos have a past of violence and negligence. Just like their "coloured" sort they are not spared from beating and torture and despite the fact that they are as loyal and affectionate as the "others" they are always victim of their black fur and see their chances for adoption decrease.

Again and again they see their friends, who are blessed with a more colourful coat,
leaving and it is always them who are staying behind, even for years.

For one or another dark reason most of the candidate adopters do not choose
black dogs. Unfortunately because black is beautiful and in this case oh so sweet.

For this reason, dear madam, dear sir, if you do not have a preference please give the "Black Beauties", a chance and you will be richly rewarded with eternal love and gratitude.

Mireille
